The ultimate fashion icon – Carrie Bradshaw. Fashion was her calling and the 90s her runway. The iconic Carrie Bradshaw tutu is infamous to most Sex and the City lovers and was the inspiration behind this look.
I’ve been holding onto this post for a while now (don’t ask me why) so I hope I can still get away with calling it an autumn look? If your city is particular cold his time of year already be sure to throw on a denim jacket to fight the chill.
This skirt is what I used to call a gypsy skirt back in the day, remember those? That was a trend I count my blessings twice that I left it in primary school. Yet here I am wearing, and loving, the modern-day gypsy skirt. Fashion certainly never gets boring that’s for sure. This pink tulle skirt is flirty, fun and comfortable. I love the pleats in the fabric and that it moves with you, creating beautiful shapes as you go. A popular take on this skirt is the glitzy metallic skirt. Also with pleats and character, just without the fullness of the tulle as shown here.
Overall the rest of this look is pretty standard, what makes it come to life in my opinion are the little details. I love my Brett Robson denim choker which brings that extra element to the outfit, both in colour and texture. My cream tote bag has the cutest charms and pom-pom clipped to the side, which I had originally planned to take off when I first bought the bag, goes perfectly with the playfulness and style of the look.
Lastly, my puma basket hearts! These sneakers have a little shine to them and gorgeous oversized white bows which tie everything together (quite literally). I have an embarrassing amount of white sneakers but when I saw these babies I couldn’t say no. Check out the entire Puma Fenty collection for more unique elegant pieces – I know I already have my eye on a few others!
