I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect ‘over the knee’ boots for many a winter now, and I’m happy to report – I found them! Finally. I found a few actually. Different variations of the pair shown in the below outfit but more or less the same. This pair is from Cotton On and cost me R799. Another pair which I nearly bought was from Aldo for R1699 which had the same suede fabric, buttery feel and perfect fit, they are block heels – tall enough to make you look good, short enough to still be comfortable. Other stores such as: Country Road, Call it Spring and Witchery have divine boots for this winter as well. Some of the boots are ‘thigh highs’, some are grey or nude, some with a high heel etc etc. As I said, there are tons of variations for this style to suit each individual preference.
When I was putting this outfit together, it was originally meant to be paired with a mesh glitter black top and bralette, as well as an oversized faux fur blue coat. However, when I put the outfit on I literally looked in the mirror and laughed. Paired with a short skirt and long boots, I looked like a hooker you guys :/ The reason I’m sharing this with you is as a reminder that sometimes things don’t go accordingly to plan and you need to just go with the flow, even if this reference is relating to an outfit gone wrong. The replacement piece became this bold bell sleeve top from Zara which I had bought a few days before my shoot. I had just thrown it in with my shopping as a cute top to where for whatever. Basically, I didn’t buy it as a feature kind of piece. I’m so happy I ending up pairing it with my skirt and boots, although not intentional, it’s created such a great understated, fun, winter look. (Am I allowed to say that about my own outfit?)
You might recognise the bag shown here by now as I have worn it quite a few times in my outfit posts. I do have other bags but I showcase this one more than others as it is very versatile, literally looks good with anything, and it’s not a high priced designer bag. This is the type of bag I take with me on a night out so that I don’t have to worry about people scratching or spilling stuff on my bag. That being said, I do have my eye on a new bag or two and will probably have them attached to my hip if I buy them, so take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Thank you to everyone for the support of my blog lately. I really don’t enjoy opening up about super personal stuff but you all make it so much easier and remind me why I want to continue sharing my stories on this platform. To answer the question EVERYONE has been hounding me about lately; no I have not cut my hair again. I cut it about 3 months ago, sadly, as my ends were all crispy and crusty and I wanted my hair to be healthier. In these photos my hair is just curled and appears much shorter then what it really is. If I did have to do something drastic with my hair you would all definitely know about it in some dramatic lengthy blog post no doubt.
