I don’t know what it is about a pair of heels and a red lip, but it brings out the sas in me. It’s impossible to not be feisty in an outfit like this. Having worked on these outfit posts for my blog for quite some time, I’ve started to notice a pattern with my fashion. I tend to focus on very detailed, colour co-ordinated outfits with lots of trendy elements. Then after a series of posts like that, I always come back around to a simple black and white look.
Moral of the story: Your basics (staple items) are the most important items in your wardrobe.

Lets go straight to the classy eye sore that is my Gucci belt (I say that with love). I know it’s now become a very typical ‘basic girl’ purchase that every second girl or guy has, but I’d like to think I got mine before the craze really took off. Okay that’s definitely not true but lets go with that (everyone wants to believe they’re the trendsetter right?). It’s a gorgeous addition to any outfit and is perfect to dress up a more minimalist look, like the one shown here.
My trusty knee high boots have already had their moment of glory in an outfit post or two last year, as well as this simple white t-shirt dress from Brett Robson. My final wardrobe staple that completed this look was my leather jacket. I’m sure every girl has that one black jacket, leather or not, that they bring out all year round regardless of the season, that just adds that bit of glam their outfit needs.

I of course chose to tie this look together with my favourite red lipstick, Ruby Woo by MAC. I originally had red nails to go along with it but as mentioned in my previous post, my shoot got cancelled due to horrendous weather conditions so by the time it was rescheduled, I’d changed it up.
Out of interest, does anyone notice little details like that when it comes to an outfit or is it just me? I sweat I notice everythiiing you guys – it’s not a good thing! #Perfectionist. I’m constantly reminding myself, I need to chill. Chill and let things be. I’ll leave you with those deep words of wisdom as we go into a new week (my Birthday week 🤩) and a new month.
