As I sit down to write this happy springtime post, the wind is howling outside and the rain is pelting down – spring has sprung hey? There is an ongoing debate that although the 1st of September is in fact spring day, spring doesn’t actually start until the 23rd. I was obviously going to jump on the bandwagon of spring day and claim that spring has begun, the fact that it’s still freezing cold right now is beside the point.
I love to be a bit (or a lot) ‘extra’ with my fashion choices on my blog because, well, I can be. But I also love to show my everyday style. If I could choose one outfit to sum up my personal style, it would probably be this one. Comfy, casual, stylish, simple and high quality pieces. Check out my latest #OOTD and let me know what you think. Hopefully the weather will allow me to wear this more often in the not so distant future.
After hearing the news that Topshop South Africa was closing down, I went into a frantic state trying to find a new spot to buy the perfect jeans. Any girl will tell you that Topshop jeans have the best fit, the best cut, styles etc etc, so their closing down was nothing short of a catastrophe. Luckily since then I have actually managed to find some decent replacements. Although I still have a lot of looking around and trying on to do, so far Levi’s and Country Road have really amazing jeans. I managed to find a cut I like and the fit is snug but still moveable, nothing worse than jeans with no stretch in them, I feel like I’m restricted. This specific pair I am wearing is called the ‘Skinny Step Hem Jean’ – how cute is the detail on the ankle? I have my eye on an identical white pair as well. When you find something that works, buy as many different variations of it as possible while it’s available.
Trending since last summer already has been the basket bag. You might remember my post The Maxi Dress where I featured a smaller version of the one shown here, commonly found in Bali and known for it’s cute dainty size. In the past I would have associated a bag like the one shown here, with the beach or vacation vibes, but now I want to wear it everywhere! It’s so gorgeous, neutral so it goes with everything and fits all those bits and bobs I have lying around all over the place but always seem to need when I’m out. Carry Ann is a local online handbag store with plenty different styles similar to this, go check them out. It’s definitely a bag that you will always find a use for.

Sorry that I have been a bit M.I.A on both my blog and social media as of late, I am currently redecorating and with that, cheating on fashion for interior. Now that the bulk of winter is (should be) behind us, I hope to be out and about more and will try blog as much as I am able to.
