If there was ever an outfit that described a happy, fun, and carefree version of me, this would be it. The red dress. More commonly known to me as the ‘I can’t be bothered to find an outfit’ dress, ‘I just applied a fake tan and can’t wear anything tight fitting’ dress and the ‘it’s too hot to wear anything so I’ll just wear this’ dress. In a nutshell, in the short amount of time I’ve owned this dress, I never seem to run out of reasons as to why I shouldn’t wear it.
Happy go lucky or happy go lazy? Either way, I receive so many compliments when wearing this red dress, which is so ironic considering I generally spend the least amount of time putting an outfit together when wearing this. It just does all the work for you.

I’m not sure how much more I can say about the accessories featured here as they’ve all popped up somewhere or other on my blog before and I have most likely already tried to convince you, you need to own them. But just incase you’re new here (hi 👋🏼), I’ll mention my Sweetpeas Handmade sandals. These are thee most comfortable sandals I own, second to my other pairs of Sweetpeas of course. Another favourite of mine is my mini mercer bag by Michael Kors. It’s the perfect size and fit for most outfits I wear and I’ll probably purchase it in another colour at some point. And once I own something in more than one colour, that’s when you know I’m a fan.

I hope you like this look and feel excited to dress up, or dress down, this weekend. The main purpose of my blog has always been, and continues to be, to serve as a lookbook type of site where other girls can visit to get outfit inspirations from and hopefully learn a thing or two while they’re here. I hope that is still the case with most of you who stop by 🙂
Cape Town has been crazy hot these last few days so I’m glad I got to squeeze this post out before the winter chill sets in. It’s still summer so my content is still relevant okay…
Thank you to the Purple Rain Boutique Hotel for letting us play around and capture this look, and as always, a big thank you to my go-to photographer Tegan for always making me look way better on my blog than I do in real life (sorry to disappoint).
