I can’t remember when last I saw something and immediately fell in love with it – I also can’t remember when last I bought something that was such good quality and was so affordable. My polka dot phase has honestly never really ended but upon finding this dress it definitely confirmed that polka dots do in fact live on.
If you haven’t already joined the polka dot trend; firstly, where have you been? Secondly, it’s not too late! See my polka dot dress below for some inspiration as to how you can incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. Whether it be as bold as a dress or as subtle as a scrunchie, polka dots are a simplistic and stylish addition to every look.

I chose to pair this dress with simple black accessories, such as my block kitten heels and ‘oh so vogue’ vintage sunnies. I also knew I wanted the pink background as a feature so I tried to incorporate very few other colours into the look. However, there is definitely room to have some fun and add some colour here, especially as the dress is the star of the outfit and is so understated. A bright pink lip with a yellow heel, or a cream faux fur jacket would really give this outfit an entirely different spin.
As a side note: This dress is by local brand Shop Brett Robson and is amazing quality and was so affordable. I know I already mentioned this but I feel that it’s so important to support local businesses, so when I find something I like that is by a South African brand (there are SO many great ones these days!) I’m most likely going to keep going on about it.
