The time is now.
As I sit down to write this post, I feel an overwhelming sense of pressure. Not only does the first entry on a blog set the tone for what the entire blog is about but it lets readers know what they can expect for posts to come. Not to mention what a perfectionist I am, a part of me wonders if I will ever even post this? (If you are reading this I was successful).
Starting my own blog has been something that I have wanted to do for quite some time now and so I am extremely excited that I finally got down to doing it. Part of the reason it has taken me so long is because I am a rather private person and the idea of posting my thoughts, feelings and opinions on various different topic’s online for whoever to read is quite daunting. Starting a blog in itself is quite a task, especially for someone like myself who I mentioned is a perfectionist. You need the right name, the right layout – the right image! The closest thing I’ve ever come to blogging in the past is my use of Pinterest (EXTREMELY addictive!) which is limited to posting images and leaves me not nearly as vulnerable. With all of this being said I do love a challenge and so that is how my blog was born.
I hope to enchant my future followers with my love for current trends and nonsensical thoughts on a wide range of topics. Who could forget my quick wit and incredible sense of humour as well? I love to write and hope to someday pursue a career as a journalist, but until that day I will keep my writing juices flowing through the use of this blog. At first I intended for the ‘The Kayleigh Khronicles’ to be solely based on fashion, then ultimately came to the conclusion that it was unlikely I would stay focused on one topic. You see although my number one passion is undoubtedly fashion, I have so many other interests (and opinions) that it would be impossible for me not to share these with all of you.
I look forward to the journey that has now begun, and I hope that the tales and trials of my life can bring to your own life, in some small minuscule way, joy; laughter and helpful insight. Please keep in mind for posts to come that I am in no way an expert in any of the topics that I will speak about, these are simply my own ideas.
