Since starting my own blog I have felt an overwhelming sense of contentment and pride having done something that has always been on my ‘to do’ list. However my mind is always in a constant frenzy overanalysing my posts and thinking of ways in which I can improve my blog. I don’t think I will ever stop wanting BETTER or MORE from The Kayleigh Khronicles. Which is why, besides blogging myself, my favourite past time is aimlessly scrolling the internet looking through other bloggers content and getting lost in their words. It is the most inspirational tool to me; seeing other ladies making their stamp on the world of fashion, being the authority on beauty regimes, health fads and, tips and tricks – all whilst looking oh so fierce. Each day I am discovering new bloggers and as a result, each day I change my mind as to which direction I want to take my blog.
Apart from achieving phenomenal success in the blogging realm, each of these ladies have managed to form a successful and and powerful career from their influential blogging fame. For todays post I thought I would change it up a bit and share with you a few of my favourite bloggers at the moment. Locally and internationally. Rather than giving you a deep rooted background check and life story, I’ll just share a line or two about what makes them stand out to me – hopefully you will go check them out for yourselves from there on after? (You totally should).
So here it is. Five of my favourite bloggers who definitely deserve recognition. Dedication, creativity, style and endless inabition are all traits essential to the paths taken by these ladies. If you don’t know of them or haven’t already, take the time to check out their blogs and give them a follow on Insta. Links posted below.
- Sincerely Juls
Julie Sariñana founded Sincerely Jules in February 2009 as a creative outlet to express her thoughts, inspirations, and personal style. Jules beautifully curates her daily style and travel adventures onto her readers. She is living proof of what natural born style looks like and showcases this through her daily OOTD pics and deliciously chic clothing line. I’m convinced she doesn’t even have to try, the girl just looks good in anything. Her blog format is beautifully set up, in that of an online journal or scrapbook. One of my favourite posts is her Coachella round up, written so well with scenic photos and the best outfits to go, i felt like I was there myself! If you are looking for relatable, everyday casual outfit inspo, look no further than Sincerely Juls.
2. Chiara Ferragni
In 2009, when blogs were not yet the today phenomenon, Chiara Ferragni launched The Blonde Salad, a portal that is so much more than just a blog today. From collaborating with major Fashion Houses, appearing in the magazines of magazines, having her own shoe line and being named by the Business of Fashion as one of the most influential personalities of the international fashion world, Chiara sets the bar high as to how far this industry can take you. I love her quirky and unique style. To me her outfits represent the clothes I wish I was brave enough to wear and the trends that are still to come. Definitely a powerful force in the fashion industry, I have a feeling the best is yet to come.
On a side note – by the looks of things this girl does more travelling than pilots. Can you say #travelgoals?
3. Aisha Baker
I discovered Aisha and Baked The Blog around last year sometime and have honestly been captivated ever since. Living in Cape Town, South Africa; Aisha is a gorgeous personality and eloquent writer who has opened up my eyes to all that is SA fashion and the possibilities that come with it. Aisha’s posts have enlightened me as to exactly what type of blog I would like The Kayleigh Khronicles to be. A site that finds the perfect balance between insightful, colloquial, funny and stylish posts. I also follow Aisha on snapchat (starting to feel like a real groupie saying this out loud) and seeing her daily ongoings consisting of; photoshoots, lunches, meetings and receiving products to try out for readers, I am officially jealous/inspired by her lifestyle. Through Aisha’s input, my own personal style has evolved and I feel more open to trying different looks that normally I would be against.
4. Sara Donaldson
When I think of the radiant Sara Donaldson, the first word that comes to mind for me is ‘elegance’. Sara optimises what it means to be a minimalist; with her natural fresh face and simplistic style, her blog Harper and Harley, stands out above the rest. Like many of you most likely, I discovered Harper and Harley through the ever popular E! Entertainment’s Fashion Bloggers. Starring alongside some of Australia’s top fashion bloggers Sara gave us an insight into her everyday activities and a behind the scenes look into what makes Harper and Harley such a success. With clean lines, intricate textures and gentle colours, Harper and Harley is my favourite blog inspo! It makes for some ideal Sunday morning day dreaming…
5. Elle Ferguson
“We are ‘living’ the dream, we are our own bosses creating our own TheyAllHateUs world.”
Whilst Elle is not the only ingredient in the recipe that forms the ever growing ‘girls united’ blog They All Hate Us (partnering with Tash Sefton), Elle is the blogger that fills my number five spot. She is someone who has always had a creative flair; showcasing this through her online fashion destination’s and drool worthy Instagram account. Maybe its a blonde thing, maybe it’s a style thing – whatever it is I have an obsession with almost everything strutted by Elle and find my own personal style very similar to that of hers. I love that one day she can be in sneakers with her hair thrown back, and the next, dressed to the nine’s in the most exquisite cocktail dress you’ve ever seen.
Although I’ve only listed five bloggers above, my list could carry on for pages and pages. But I don’t think any of you would read to the end if that was the case. So let me stop fan girling and leave you to your reading.
