Well hello and welcome. If you are in fact reading this post I am very impressed, grateful and curious… you still read blog posts? Like who even are you.
Just kidding! I’m just making a point that apparently these days, blogs are ‘dead’ – or so I’ve been told. No one wants to do anything that requires the slightest bit of effort or concentration so, it’s YouTube videos or nothing. Whether that be the case for some of you (no judgements) my blog will continue to exist and continue to be written. I started blogging because I was inspired by other blogs and genuinely love to read and learn, anyone else out there with me?
This week I’m back with another fashion post talking about an outfit that I really love. I’m a huge fan of prints and bright colours, but I’m also a minimalist at heart. This outfit manages to capture my personal style to a tee in a very effortless, chic way. I’m here for the black and white combo!
I have to admit that when I bought this blouse it was very much an ‘everyday’ purchase. What I mean by that is, some clothes I buy for an occasion or with a vision in mind, others are just fillers. Everyday items that I can throw on and will do the job, simple and stylish. However after I wore it once I realised it was a really beautiful piece; the fabric, the fit, the colours. It’s very understated but makes a huge statement – is that possible? It also has drawstring sleeves which you can play with to make the sleeves as loose or tight as you’d like.
The shoes are my cute Gucci wannabe slides which are so comfortable and are often mistakingly called out as slippers. I personally think that they look nothing like slippers, people just see the fur and like to make a joke about, which honestly I’ve never laughed at (take your Dad jokes else where please and thank you). My bag is a Forever New purchase which I bought at the beginning of the year more or less. It’s my work bag and fits my laptop, diary, purse and just about every other odd and end that I need to shove into my bag on the way out the door. I love that it’s such a simple style as I don’t have to change bags constantly for it to go with my outfit. Although the pictures don’t really show it this bag has gold accentuations, such as the buckle and zip.
Overall this look is an accurate representation of my day-to-day get up.

I’m not going to ramble on any further about this look as I already mentioned, I get it, people don’t like to read. Are outfit posts still a thing people do anymore either? At this point I’m not sure what’s in or out when it comes to blogging standards, or more importantly, readers standards but I am looking to start incorporating different styles of posts in my blog. Gotta keep up with the times you know 😉
On a serious note though, I do want this page to stay fresh and fun and a place where you can turn to, to genuinely get some fashion inspiration. I hope every reader is able to take something away from my posts and to use that in their own way within their own style. As always, to be continued…
