Just before shooting this look with my favourite, Tegan Smith Photography, I was having serious doubts as to whether or not this outfit was ‘blog worthy’. Not because I don’t think it’s amaze – because I do – but because I am yet again seen wearing a matching set 🙈 I like my blog to showcase a wide variety of my style choices, not the same thing week in and week out. I promise I don’t only wearing matching clothes you guys!
That aside, I don’t have too much to report back about this outfit as, excluding the sunglasses, this whole look is from Country Road. Oops.
Ideally I pair my looks together with clothes from all over, to keep this space unique and show you all how I pair different items together. If my whole outfit is from one shop I’m no better than a shop mannequin.
Keeping all these factors in mind, I went ahead and captured this look for my blog anyway (duh, you’re seeing it now) as I want to show my style as a whole. If I’m keeping it real, there are going to be times when I’m not dressed in a variety of items from near and far. Sometimes I’m going to walk into one shop, like what I see and wear that, and I think you all should see that outfits too, or what do you think? Australian fashion labels have some of the best designs in the industry in my opinion, and Country Road sits right up there with the best of them. I love their minimalistic approach and chic designs they produce, for that reason, a lot of my clothes are from Country Road, as it shows in this post.
My outfit is cute and all that but can we just take a moment for my sunglasses please…
Okay moment passed. I’ve had my eye on these sunnies since the middle of last year, I liked them, then I wasn’t sure, then I liked them and then they were sold out everywhere when I wanted to buy them etc etc. I finally bought them last month and can honestly say, they were worth the wait! Note to self: Always trust your original fashion feelings.

Although I’ve mentioned matching sets an infinite amount of times on my blog, it’s important to note that just because you purchase something with a matching top or bottom, it doesn’t mean you have to wear that item as a set all the time. Besides this skirt and blouse being so comfortable and lightweight (it was 38°C when we shot this) it’s extremely versatile and doesn’t rely on the one with the other in order to look good. I’ve already worn this skirt with a black blouse and the blouse with a pair of comfy jeans, both looked just as good as when worn as a set, if I might add.
I could go on and on with stories about my accessories and cute little black basket bag as I love to share my process of buying items and the thought behind it, but I’m trying to reel myself in and share only the necessary info with you all. So for now, as always, thanks for reading.
