Everyone has a different take on weekend wear. For some it’s time for sweatpants and oversized hoodies; for others it’s a time for the flashiest, skimpiest clothes they own. I can relate to both. When it’s the weekend you definitely want to chill, but your style shouldn’t have to be compromised. There is always a way to incorporate the two. Check out my version of throwing on jeans and a tee for a fun Spring weekend look.
If you’re like me, weekends usually mean lots of last minute plans and going here there and everywhere. Which is why I like to be prepared for anything; I like to make sure sure I always have a mini make-up kit with me, hand sanitiser, tangle teezer, a jacket, a change of shoes (depending) and then of course your usual handbag necessities such as cellphone and purse etc. This is what makes this silver metallic tote bag so divine! It’s big enough to use for your extra items so you’re not lugging things around when you’re out and about, yet it’s small enough that you can get away with using it as a normal handbag. The fact that it’s a silver metallic colour with white and pink pastel finishes is a bonus – metallic’s are everything right now!
The sneakers I’m wearing are actually quite an old pair of mine, but they are still as comfortable as ever and give this look a laid back weekend vibe. Alternatively you can swop out the white sneakers for a pair of white birkenstocks or even add in some pink footwear, it will bring out the pink accentuations of the pink lip I applied and the finishes of the tote.
I love LOVE this white blouse from Forever New! The fabric is luxurious and comfortable and it’s so versatile. The ruffled sleeves make the blouse, and frankly the whole look as far as I’m concerned. It’s adds some femininity to my outfit and keeps it current – the ruffled sleeves are a huge trend right now. The same can be said for the white suede choker, it keep my outfit trendy yet casual. Overall I feel as though it is a rather effortless combination. No one ever wants to look as though they put in hours compiling a suitable outfit for the day, nor that you have compiled your fanciest outfit for, lets say, a morning at the market? (Let’s be honest, if you live in Durbs nine out of ten times you spend your morning at a market of some kind).
White boob tube blouse – Forever New
Skinny jeans – Topshop
Choker – Lovisa
Tote Bag – Country Road
Sneakers – Nike
It’s a very short post today, I don’t have too much to say on this look as the title and pictures are pretty self explanatory. It wasn’t the easiest shoot in terms of my hair cooperating with the wind rather than me, and my photographer and myself had to trek relatively far to find areas on the location that would photograph well. Regardless it was a fun afternoon and hopefully you all love the end result.
Have a lovely (stylish) weekend!
