If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times… One of the only good thing about winter is the fashion. Cape Town is famous for its bloggers, influencers and high-profile individuals taking to the streets this time of year to strut their stuff. There’s something about exaggerated coats and layers upon layers of clothing that really give you that extra skip in your step. I’m convinced the phrase ‘bad and boujee’ originated from Cape Town, probably in winter specifically as well. As per usual, I met up with the lovely Tegan Smith at one of Cape Town’s most photographed restaurants, Mulberry & Prince, to share some winter fashion I’m loving (and living in) right now.
When it comes to shoes, it’s the same story, just a different blog post. You all know by now that I can literally never have enough shoes ? This specific pair was such a find! I got them from Superbalist about two months ago and had my eye on them for ages. They say patience is a virtue and oh how true that was in this instance. When I finally logged on to make my purchase, they were on sale – 30% off. The white and metallic boot is all the craze this season and this pair does that trend justice. Unfortunately they aren’t as comfortable as other shoes I own, however they are a lot higher than heels I tend to go for, so that could explain a lot.
The coat shown here is your standard longer length winter coat that I got from Woolies, once again, for 30% off. I find it so strange that so many shops have had sales on some of the prime winter pieces in the middle of winter? I’m obviously not complaining though. This coat also comes in a bunch of different colours, so you can wear this outfit in a million different ways.
It is a standard coat, jeans and boots ensemble – not hard to recreate, let’s be honest.
Grey coat – Woolworths
White tank top – Cotton On
Jeans – Topshop
Boots – Superbalist
Jewellery – By Cara
I hope you are all surviving, and somewhat enjoying, the winter weather, wherever you may be in the country (or the world for that matter). This is me just checking-in, bringing you some good vibes and fashionable thoughts.
