Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
Hey hey hey and a big Happy New Year to all my lovely readers out there! 2016 is here in full force and what a year it is going to be. My favourite thing about a new year is how you are able to reinvent yourself, to put everything from the year(s) behind you and start again. A new year is the closest thing we have in this life to a fresh start. So what I ask of all of you before continuing on with this post, is to ask yourself; what were some of the highlights of 2015 for you? What new things did you learn about yourself? And how do you see yourself moving forward in 2016?
From my side last year was definitely my time to take a step back and figure out my next move. Not only in terms of my career path but my personal life as well. Since I can remember I’ve always had my life planned out, the next step ready and waiting, to the point where I was so busy focusing on what was coming next I didn’t stop long enough to enjoy where I already was. Although it was a huge challenge for me at first, learning to slow things down, looking back on my year now it really was the best thing for me. Knowing this makes me feel refreshed and optimistic for the new year and the obstacles that lie ahead. God has never failed me and I know his plan for my life is perfect and beautiful.
With regards to The Kayleigh Khronicles… it is coming up for its one year anniversary this month, and I plan on celebrating by finally putting the wheels into motion with the numerous ideas I have had for this page since I started it one year ago. Its time to take my blog to the next level. I have throughly enjoyed dabbling in bits and pieces and figuring out my own writing style, as well as what all of you like to read about. For those of you who remember my very first blog post I spoke about what a perfectionist I am and how it can cause problems for me at times. Well that turned out to be far to accurate for my own liking. Moving forward with The Kayleigh Khronicles my biggest obstacle I need to overcome is to stop being such a perfectionist! I can’t tell you how many posts I wrote up and failed to publish. There was always something wrong with them in my mind, heck even the ones I did publish I would go back and reread only to be extremely unsatisfied with. I have clearly proven to be my own worst enemy. In order for my blog to be successful I feel I need to have consistency and definitely more content – I have so many ideas I want to share with you all! So as of 2016 The Kayleigh Khronicles will be a weekly blog. Every week I will have a new post up, as opposed to my once a month (or less at times) random posts. I also think its time to put a face to The Kayleigh Khronicles, I want you all to know more about me 🙂 I won’t say too much more then that for now but stay tuned – big things are on the way!
Lastly, I have to say a huge thank you to my followers. If I am being honest, I started and continue with this blog for myself first and foremost. I love to write and blogging is such a wonderful platform that allows me to do so. I believe that the moment you start to do things for the appraisal or approval of others it has lost its purpose. With that being said, it is so rewarding and uplifting having people I’ve never met tell me they love my writing, or look forward to my posts. A bit of positivity and love is much appreciated. So whether you are far or few, sending you big love for adding to The Kayleigh Khronicles.
Until next week…
